Cars and Girls

Well shit-goddamn, it took some doing, but I finally figured out what was up with this machine that prohibited me from uploading anything (had to change browsers and resort to MU, but still, bitch about it, will ya?)

Anywho, what I present to you today is an album near and dear to me: Go Girl Crazy! by the Dictators.

For those of you not in the know, they were part of the early punk scene in New York, and totally overlooked; how often do "punks these days" name-drop the Dictators? This is a snotty record with songs about girls, cars, food, and just generally being a bored individual in the Big Shitty, all of the issues pertinent to a young Rock and/or Roller. Interesting factoid: Ross The Boss went on to play in fucking Manowar, of all bands. Weird, no? The guitars are pretty great, Handsome Dick Manitoba is great, the whole fucking thing is just a blast. If anyone digs this, I have Bloodbrothers, their next album, which is also pretty killer.

My favorite tracks are 'Cars and Girls' and 'Two Tub Man'; the lyrics are what does it for me. Dig in already, what are you waiting for?!
